R&R Part II

I promised more picutres from R&R, and here they are...
We managed to accomplish a few wedding things. Matt was happy to be in charge of the scanner. Matt was not happy that I made him take pictures in the stores.

When I asked Matt what he was looking forward to the most when he came home he said: (1) seeing family & friends and (2) Chic-fil-a.
We braved the weather & watched Reynolds play soccer for GHS.
Then we headed to Macon for a few days

The Wizard of Oz

My dear friend Lauren entered a raffle and won 2 front row seats to see the Broadway musical "Wizard of Oz" at Macon's Grand Opera House. Lucky for me, I was able to be her date. It was absolutely the best show I've seen in a long time (although I'm still terrified of those flying monkeys). Being on the front row directly behind the orchestra made it so much more entertaining.
The Grand Opera House is stunning and is a true Macon treasure. It was built in 1884 and even has one of Houdini's trap doors.  If you visit Macon, it's a "must see!"

R&R Part 1

Matt is back in Iraq and my heart hurts. The 2 weeks of R&R was wonderful and we were able to spend lots of time with family and friends and truly enjoy each other's company. More than anything, my love for him grew tremendously and I was reminded of how blessed I am to be his future bride.  Ashley took a great video of our airport reunion that is priceless! I'm working on posting it.
This is fairly representative of all the pictures of me on the first day.
Happy reunion with the brothers

Best buds- Reynods & Matt - Aren't they handsome?!
Day 2 was a golf outing with Ryan, Cory & Jason. I drove the cart & was the cheerleader.

Matt & I were able to spend a few days at the Westin Poinsett. It was quite a treat!
Very swanky

We also enjoyed Falls Park in Greenville. This is actually where Matt & I went on our first date almost 5 years ago. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to simply sit on a bench and have a conversation with him. Oh how I miss him now!
More to come ....
